Decorate Mother Nature With Outdoor Party Lights

Outdoor party lights, whether you go for the traditional strings of Christmas tree lights or prefer the more zesty touch of star party lights, can add a little something to just about any al fresco gathering. But the options don't end there: you can find lighting to fit just about any holiday party, college get-together, backyard barbecue, or sophisticated soiree, whether your favorites are holiday heartwarmers like Frankenstein and the Easter Bunny, or NASCAR figures, chili peppers, or Budweiser frogs. With recent advances in lighting technology, you can opt for either classic incandescent bulbs or the cooler LED lights.

Decorating with light

Mother Nature has been decorating the night with light forever -- we call them stars -- so why not emulate her great idea? Strings of lighting (holiday and otherwise) tend to be fairly inexpensive. LED light strings may cost a little more, but then LED bulbs last far longer than incandescent bulbs. Not only that, LEDs tend to be less power-hungry, so you can run them without much fear of overpadding your utility bill.

The lighting direction you want to take for your party, event, or holiday is all up to you. You can stick with the classic simplicity of blinking Christmas lights or Chinese lanterns, of course, but there's always the option to go full cheese. Some of the light strings available make blinking chilis and Halloween spiders seem the height of class. If you're really serious about being unserious, you can hunt up everything from lizards and pigs to bass and gas pumps... but that's opening up a whole new can of worms (which, by the way, we're sure you can find, too).
